The very place my grandparents met: Varadero Beach, where it all began...
The Fernandez Family
I am grateful to be a part of such a supportive and caring family. My parents, Alberto and Blanca, and my older brother, Nicolas, are a large part of my life and who I am today. They have helped me foresee my path and support all of my endeavors, no matter how ambitious they may be. We love traveling and learning about new cultures as much as possible. We enjoy spending time together while boating, cooking, and playing with our dogs, Max and Chloe.
I am also thankful to have a strong relationship with my grandparents, Jose, Adela, and Gloria. They have taught me about my culture and family history, rooted in Cuba. Their stories from their summers spent at La Playa Varadero to their time in Havana and Matanzas, and all the way to their asylum in Miami, Florida, inspire and motivate me to succeed regardless of the obstacles before me.
